CENTER FOR SECURITY STUDIES

The research and teaching activities of the Center for Security Studies (CSS) cover a broad range of topics related to international and Swiss security policy. On behalf of the Swiss federal administration and in cooperation with national and international partners, the CSS runs the International Relations and Security Network (ISN), the Comprehensive Risk Analysis and Management Network (CRN), the Parallel History Project on NATO and the Warsaw Pact (PHP), and the Swiss Foreign and Security Policy Network (SSN).

The independent policy journal Europe’s World was launched on 4 October 2005 by some 50 leading European think tanks. LUXEMBOURG INSTITUTE FOR EUROPEAN ANDINTERNATIONAL STUDIES

The Luxembourg Institute for European and International Studies (LIEIS) was formally founded in October 1990. The Institute aims to engage in an extensive range of high quality, innovative research, by keeping in contact with universities and research centres all over the world. The Institute has always involved students and young researchers into its endeavours. Initially, the LIEIS, together with Harvard and other universities, organised several simulation conferences, simulating the US Congress, EU institutions and Central and Eastern European parliaments. This activity has been replaced since 1994 by summer courses, which are organised in association with several East European research centres.

THE PARTNERSHIP FOR PEACE CONSORTIUM OF DEFENSE ACADEMIES AND SECURITY STUDIES INSTITUTES

The Partnership for Peace Consortium (PfPC) of Defense Academies and Security Studies Institutes is a voluntary association of institutes of higher learning in defense and security affairs that is financially supported by the United States, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and NATO. The Consortium is an "in the spirit of PfP" activity that supports the security policy priorities of its stakeholders. The Consortium's working groups and study groups bring together experts from across the Euro-Atlantic region to undertake projects that form the core of the Consortium's activities. An annual conference, co-hosted by a Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council member nation, examines issues related to the Consortium's mission and showcases the activity of the groups.
